Highlights for High School
This past week, President Obama hosted a science fair at the White House to celebrate winners from a wide range of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics competitions across the country.
The USA Science and Engineering Festival on the National Mall will conclude the week-long celebration.
We encourage you to get involved with a science project! The Highlights for High School website has lots of great ideas for students and teachers.
You can:
• Build a guitar
• Build your own speakers
• Learn about robotics

New Video Player on OCWWe're rolling out a new video player. Based on the open-source JW Player, the new player allows us to combine our video resources into a smaller, more usable space.
Users can click on tabs below each video to see information about the video, other videos in the playlist, download and share options, and, in many cases, a transcript of the video.
We've retrofitted 13 courses with videos so far and expect to complete this change across the site in the first quarter of next year.
> See the new video player in 8.01 Views from Supporters"I gave to OCW because I believe in the power of education to help change the world. I use OCW frequently and I am so grateful for this service. Please keep up the fantastic work and inspiration you give so freely to others. "
