Pick up the phone tomorrow for "Bianca"!

"People think slavery is a thing of the past, but slavery is very much alive today."
- Bianca,
Young Sex Trafficking Survivor

With the National (Call-In) Day of Action tomorrow, I thought I'd share a video clip of a recent news story that aired in the Washington, D.C. area that brings home why we have to take collective action this Wednesday, November 17 to support H.R. 5575, The Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Deterrence and Victims Support Act of 2010.
The news clip uncovers the plight of "Bianca," a young sex trafficking survivor, and the prevalence of sex trafficking  in the D.C. area and throughout the United States.

Girls are being bought and sold every day just steps away from Capitol Hill - and in communities across our country - but unless Congress takes action, young sex trafficking survivors like Bianca will not receive the support they need and the United States will fail to prevent more trafficking-related abuse. The Senate Judiciary Committee has recommended that S. 2925 (the Senate version of H.R. 5575) be considered by the whole Senate.
Now, we need the House of Representatives to do the same.

Tomorrow, you can do something about it.

Sincerely,

Mary Ellison
