On behalf of SDA Bocconi School of Management, I wish you and your family a very peaceful seasonal break and a happy, prosperous and fulfilling 2012. Alberto Grando Dean, SDA Bocconi School of Management
2011. A very special year. This year we celebrate 40 years of managerial excellence. We have come a long way since 1971 and while we are proud of this, we remain committed to strengthening our participants' visions and competences, with passion and rigour. An MBA Alumnus on the Executive Board of the ECB. The European Council has recently named German national Jörg Asmussen, SDA Bocconi Full-Time MBA alumnus, a member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank (ECB), replacing Jürgen Stark. Asmussen will take office on 1st January 2012. Jörg Asmussen attended the SDA Bocconi MBA during the 1991-1992 academic year. SDA Bocconi's EMBA now in Financial Times ranking. The school debuted in the 2011 EMBA rankings, placing 28th in Europe and 67th in the world, and is the only Italian business school in the rankings. SDA Bocconi was able to enter the internationally prestigious ranking with a program held in Italian, created to prepare managers to face the challenges of International markets. Financial Times ranking: SDA Bocconi rises to 7th among European Business Schools. SDA Bocconi has gained 10 places in the prestigious Financial Times 2011 European Business School ranking, joining ESADE and Rotterdam in 7th position and overtaking, among others, Oxford University Saïd Business School, ESSEC and London's Cass Business School. This ascent in what is the most highly-regarded European Business School ranking credits both SDA Bocconi and Università Bocconi programs and concludes 2011 with a great international accomplishment. SDA Bocconi accredited by AACSB. A further testimony of the quality of the programs offered by SDA Bocconi is the accreditation by the AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), announced on 5th December 2011 by the Board of Directors of AACSB International. This accreditation, in addition to the previously awarded EQUIS (1998) and AMBA (1992), marks the completion of the top three accreditations (the "triple crown") and places the School among just 55 Business Schools worldwide to have received the AACSB accreditation. SDA Bocconi goes to India: MISB Bocconi, a new International Business School, is launched in Mumbai. Università Bocconi, thanks to an initiative of SDA Bocconi School of Management, strengthens its presence in India through an alliance with Ultimate Knowledge System, which has gathered a group of young Indian entrepreneurs, to launch MISB Bocconi, the Mumbai International School of Business Bocconi. The first program offered by MISB Bocconi will be the Post Graduate Program in Business (PGPB), which will start in July 2012. This will be a high-level international program in management centered on the realities of the Indian market and business world. Lessons will be held by a mix of Indian, international and Bocconi faculty.   © SDA Bocconi | via Bocconi 8 | 20136 Milano If you wish to unsubscribe from this email, please click here
